Nugget and Latte

Latte the guinea pig arrived at Life Long Tails Small Pets-Big Hearts with an abscess on his throat. He received a round of antibiotics that the vet prescribed and his abscessed healed nicely. During his infection and taking antibiotics, he had lost his appetite and weight. Recently he has been gaining weight and is eating the way a guinea pig should. He is much more alert and active, he is even popcorning in his cage with happiness. With good news , I have bad news. The past three days , he has had blood in his urine. He is going back to the vet for the third time, in just a couple hours. I hope it isn't anything serious. He looks so much better and is acting healthy.. it's hard to believe he may still have a health problem. I'll update on what the vet says.
Nugget the hamster was surrendered with horribly long teeth. Both his upper and lower incisors are grotesquly overgrown. To the point where they are pressing into his gums and mouth. He is getting a much needed teeth trimming at the vet today. He'll feel so much better afterwards.
