We are happy to announce that we did find enough foster homes to be able to commit to rescuing the 6 rabbits. It is unfortunate that only 3 of the rabbits were able to be "pulled" from the home. We now have the three, 3 and half month old rabbits. They are little and cute, and seem to be in good health. They have been playing and eating very well. We will determine their sexes very soon and come up with names. In the meantime, they are separated to avoid/prevent/stop any pregnancies.
Yesterday we took in 4 ferrets. Rufus is a 7 year old male, he is thin, and most of his fur missing. Pheobe is a 6 year old female with some fur loss, hind leg problems and she is thin. Dominic is a 7 year old male , he is thin and has fur loss. Crimson is a 5 year old male, he is bulkier than the others but is still thin and he has fur missing at the base of his tail. They are also very itchy.
They will need a lot of vet care and TLC.. they will receive and abundance of this at SP-BH. They enjoyed romping around the living room today, we were happy to see they have great spirits and energy. All four ferrets now have a vet appointment for tomorrow at 5PM.
On Sunday, Mother's Day, Ben and Sandler the rats were adopted together!! YAY!
