"Old man" Butterscotch our 9 and half year old rabbit, is showing sypmtoms of being ill tonight. His breathing is labored and abnormal, and he didn't run for his food or hay today. He doesn't seem interested in any food or water. I'll be calling the vet as soon as they open tomorrow and getting the first available appointment, I'll let them know it is urgent. In the meantime I am going to give him SubQ fluids to hydrate him since he didn't drink much, his bowl didn't go down as much as it normally does in a day. I won't do anything else but worry and love him until we know what is wrong and get instructions from the vet. Please keep Butterscotch in your thoughts. He's such a handsome and loveable bunny.
